What are curtain carriers?
Referred to by a variety of terms including Carriers, Glides, Sliders, Slides, and Rollers, these items are designed to transport the curtain or other suspended items along the path of the curtain track with minimal resistance. Attachment to these accessories can be made via hooks, snaps, or by directly sewing the carriers to the curtain panels.
Types of curtain carriers
Curtain carriers typically fall into one of three categories: wheeled curtain carriers, friction curtain carriers, or master carriers. Wheeled carriers typically move more freely, while friction carriers slide along the slot within the curtain track. Master carriers are typically intended to be used on the leading edge of a curtain panel to allow for overlap and to support the attachment of batons to aid in drawing curtain panels open and closed.
